R.A.D. Women’s Self Defense Program with Wendy

The Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D) System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. It is a comprehensive, woman-only course, which begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and risk avoidance, as well as the basics of hands-on defense training. R.A.D. is not a Martial Arts program. The courses are taught by a nationally certified R.A.D. Instructor and provide each student with a workbook/reference manual. The course includes lecture, discussion, and self-defense techniques, suitable for all women of all ages and abilities.
The basic physical defense program consists of three sessions lasting two-four hours each, for a total of nine hours of instruction. Please note that girls under the age of 13 may not participate due to the amount of adult-themed subject matter. Participants must attend all three classes in their entirety. Space is limited to only 10 participants.

Wendy is a part of our Sub Fam at My Yoga Canyon Country. She is pleased to offer this course in studio.
Wendy, MS, E-RYT, CPT, is a yoga and wellness entrepreneur. She is the owner and founder of Vayu Yoga®, an aerial yoga practice. She is originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, and has resided in Santa Clarita, California since 2001. Wendy has over 28 years of experience teaching dance, yoga, Pilates, fitness and somatic (mind-body) practices to students of all ages in private and public sectors. She is a certified personal trainer, holistic nutritionist, E-RYT200 and certified Pilates teacher. She has been a professor in the Kinesiology department at California State University, Northridge, since 2009, as well as the dance department at College of the Canyons. Wendy assists others in finding their true potential by consciously and consistently becoming better versions of themselves, each and every day.
