About Anissa

Anissa was born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca.  Her passion is teaching Mindful Flow which incorporates poses, breath awareness and her dice & card invention – MindShakers!  Anissa travels around speaking to parents and children about the importance of having a positive inner dialogue with ourselves and creating our future experiences through focus and positive intention.

Yoga Journey

Anissa found yoga after having her 4th son and realizing she was now on a new path in her life. Looking for more of a Mind-Body connection, the mindfulness aspect of yoga, led her to better self-awareness and emotional well-being which is what she had been looking for. The physical, mental and emotional benefits made her feel healthy and full of energy again. It brought her back to her roots. Growing up as a dancer, Anissa describes her transition into a life of yoga as a natural, smooth and fulfilling process due to the similarities of shared physicality, body awareness, and dedication to practice as well as performance. Very quickly she knew she wanted to share what she was learning and teach others by becoming a yoga teacher. Being a yoga teacher has been the most rewarding part of her journey for many reasons. Creative expression, continuous self-reflection and self-improvement as well as the health benefits and meeting amazing people that she is able to learn from and continue to inspire her.
